FEZ TO MARRAKECH DESERT TOUR 3 DAYS DETAILS
This 3-day from Fez to Marrakech desert tour, Morocco, takes you through the Middle Atlas, Sahara Desert, Todra Gorge, Ouarzazate, and Ait ben Haddou, and ends in Marrakech. The first day of the tour begins with a pickup from your Fez accommodation, a drive through the Middle Atlas, and a stop at Ifrane and the Cedar Forest in Azrou. You will then go to Merzouga and spend the night in a Berber tent. On the second day, you will travel from Merzouga to Ouarzazate via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping at Todra Gorge. The last day of the tour is spent visiting Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou, with a drive through the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.

Day 1FEZ - MIDDLE ATLAS - MERZOUGA SAHARA DESERT
We will pick you up at 8 am from your hotel/riad and will leave Fes to Merzouga traveling towards Ifran, a beautiful mountain village, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” and then on to Midelt. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains.
Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you may well sight Barbary apes. After some time within the forest, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas, after Midelt town you will be traveling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia, here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterward, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani.
Arrive at Merzouga in the afternoon. You’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before your camel ride, guided by an experienced camel man to explore the golden sand sea of Merzouga. Dinner in front of the tent where you will spend the night.
Day 2MERZOUGA DESERT – MIDELT – IFRAN – FES
You will wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, possibly the best moment of the Merzouga desert.
Make your way after breakfast to Fes through the Ziz valley and the cedar forest of Azrou. There you will see a colony of monkeys along the road which will keep you amused.
You will have plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs as you will stop for coffee, lunch, photographs, and more coffee as you travel through these forests, valleys, and mountains. We will reach the Switzerland of Morocco which is Ifrane city. Drop off at your Riad / Hotel at around 6 PM in Fes.
